TRI-CITY FITNESS

Tri-City Fitness has adopted a fresh approach to fitness.  It’s no secret we live in a society where populations have become increasingly sedentary.  As such, many folks joining a health club have not regularly exercised in months, even years!   Joining a fitness club suggests health has become a priority in a person’s life but the key is to have exercise become a lifelong habit!  Membership at Tri-City Fitness includes a complimentary fitness assessment and personal training session.  The member is then given an initial training plan providing a roadmap toward their fitness destination.   We have found out that a training plan designed by professionals has a person realizing results more quickly than working on their own.  With a plan, there is an accountability as well as support from the Tri-City staff.  A member seeing results is a member who keeps coming back, makes fitness a habit and maintains a healthy lifestyle.

As a consumer and someone who is placing a priority on personal health, you will appreciate all that is covered in our assessment. Individual goals, fitness level and health history are considered in program development.  Blood pressure is taken and body composition is assessed.  Nutrition and meal planning are addressed, as well.  If a member is under, physician’s care or taking medications for cardiac or metabolic disorders, a medical authorization is sent to the physician for input or restrictions on the exercise program. 

Another key component of the assessment is a movement screen which identifies muscular imbalances to be addressed with corrective exercise and stretching.  Even the athletic population has appreciated this aspect of the assessment as imbalances lead to injuries which can end up sidelining an athlete for weeks or months!  Assessments are conducted by Personal Trainers utilizing protocols set forth by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  We believe NASM’s integrative approach to fitness to be the most comprehensive and adaptable to any fitness level.  Our current members range from marathon runners to special populations and span age groups from teenagers to seniors.  We are meeting the needs of this diverse group and are certain we can meet the needs of your organization’s members, as well.

In addition to the state-of-art cardio and resistance equipment by Free Motion and Star-Trac, membership includes access to all Group Exercise classes.  Yoga, Spin, Step, Pilates and Circuit Training are available at various times of the day to accommodate most schedules.  Impeccable locker rooms which are complete with showers and towels are also member benefits.     Additional services available include personal training, metabolic testing, nutritional counseling and childcare.
